How to care for your silk
Your Still Suain silk is made from 23 momme mulberry silk. With a little gentle care, it will stay soft and smooth for years.
Washing
- Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water, below 30°C, with a pH-neutral liquid detergent or one made for silk.
- The pillowcase, bonnet and scrunchies can also go on a delicate machine cycle below 30°C, in a mesh wash bag.
- The sleep mask is hand wash only.
- No bleach, fabric softener or biological detergent.
Drying
- Press gently to remove water. Never wring or tumble dry.
- Lay flat to dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight.
Tips for silk longevity
- A gentle, pH-neutral detergent matters most. Silk is a natural fibre, and harsh chemicals can dull its softness and shine in a single wash.
- Keep the water below 30°C. Even slightly warmer water can change the texture of silk.
- A mesh bag protects silk in the machine, especially if your drum tends to catch fabrics.
- For the best results, hand wash and dry flat in a cool, shaded room.
Treat your silk with care and it will return the favour, night after night.
