Questions about the Silk Bonnet

Who is the silk bonnet for?

Anyone who wants to protect their hair while they sleep. It suits curly, textured and protective styles particularly well, and it helps where hair tangles against the pillow.

Will it stay on while I sleep?

Yes. The adjustable drawstring lets you set the fit once, and the double-layered construction holds its shape, so the bonnet stays in place through the night rather than slipping off.

Does it reduce frizz?

It reduces the friction that causes frizz. Hair rubbing against cotton roughens overnight; inside the silk bonnet it moves freely, so there is less frizz by morning.

Why is it double-layered?

Two layers of 23 momme silk give the bonnet enough body to hold its shape and to last through regular washing, and it means silk sits against your hair on the inside as well as the outside.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash below 30°C with a pH-neutral silk detergent, or use a delicate machine cycle below 30°C inside a delicates bag. Do not wring or twist. Dry flat, away from heat and direct sunlight. Full guidance is on our care page.
