Questions about the Silk Pillowcase

What size is the silk pillowcase?

Queen, 75 x 50 cm, which fits a standard pillow. The envelope closure folds over the end of the pillow, so there is no zip against your face and the pillow does not slide out.

Why 23 momme?

Momme is the weight of the silk. For bedding, the range runs from roughly 16 to 23, and 23 sits at the top of it: dense enough to feel substantial and to last through regular washing, while staying cool and smooth against the skin.

What does a silk pillowcase do for hair and skin?

Silk creates far less friction than cotton, so hair glides across it rather than catching, and skin is not dragged in the same way overnight. Mulberry silk is also naturally hypoallergenic. It is gentle on hair and skin.

What is the difference between silk and satin?

Satin describes a weave, not a fibre, and is often polyester. Mulberry silk is a natural fibre. Our pillowcases are 100% organic mulberry silk, 6A grade, certified by GOTS and OEKO-TEX, and made in Suzhou, the silk capital of the world.

How do I wash a silk pillowcase?

Hand wash below 30°C with a pH-neutral silk detergent, or use a delicate machine cycle below 30°C inside a delicates bag. Do not wring or twist. Dry flat, away from heat and direct sunlight. Full guidance is on our care page.
